It’s nine years today since we opened the doors to Ilmington Community Shop. We are celebrating the initiative, hard work and fund-raising of local villagers, the ongoing support of Plunkett UK – the national organisation that helps community businesses – and the never-ending care and commitment of our wonderful volunteers, who run the show day-to-day. We are also grateful to be in the capable hands of our managers, Michele and Laura, seen here holding a volunteer’s homemade chocolate “birthday” cake. Nine years can mean only one thing: we’ll be celebrating our first decade in 2025!
