Ilmington Community Café is a hub for village residents and visitors alike. We are a volunteer-run operation, so our opening hours can sometimes change at short notice. Our aim is to provide a friendly community space for people to meet, eat and relax. All are welcome!
Homemade cakes are our USP – we serve an ever-changing menu of delicious cakes prepared in the kitchens of Ilmington by a team of skilled and vetted volunteers. There are a few savouries – soup and cheese scones for instance – but cake is our superpower.
If you live locally, the Café is the place to come to meet your neighbours or bring your friends. Why not try one of our monthly community groups, from Knit and Natter to Book Club? Parent and Baby group on a Wednesday morning is a weekly chance for babies and their carers to meet over a hot drink. Look out for regular Events @theCafé, such as one of our long-table suppers, or the popular pop-up wine bar.
If you are bringing a group of more than six, or travelling a long way, please call 01608 682838 to let us know you are coming. We can’t always accommodate large groups and we may sometimes be closed for community activities.
With a fair wind, we are aiming for:
Tuesday to Friday about 9.30 to 4.30ish
Saturday about 9.30 to 4ish
Sunday and Monday closed
If you’d like to see longer opening hours, please come and join our friendly team of volunteers. Thank you.
