One of our core aims as a cooperative is to bring people together in community and to be as inclusive as possible. Since the lockdowns of 2020 and 2021, we have been able to stage numerous social events, from summer BBQs to warming winter suppers. We advertise these events firstly to Ilmington residents and thereafter to a wider audience. - Marketplace @the café, a chance to meet suppliers, artisans and charities in the Café
- Our pop-up wine bar on the Café terrace in summer
- May and September BBQs, spilling out onto Upper Green
- Long-table suppers at affordable prices on a range of themes
- The Ilmington Community Shop Christmas market – staged in Ilmington Village Hall
- Lights in the Dark evening in early December, with carols, mulled wine and Christmas lights
