Hannah O’Malley (left) and Jemima Welch, both 13, took inspiration from business classes at Stratford Girls Grammar School to make their own candles to sell to friends and family. On Saturday they brought their waxy wares to Ilmington Community Café and sold lots of pretty and perfumed candles for MacMillan Cancer. Their business is called Fred and Oz. “Jemima’s cat’s called Fred and my dog’s called Ozzie,” explained Hannah. “Jemima’s mum’s in marketing and she designed the labels for us!” We wish the girls well with their entrepreneurial endeavours: candles could be just what we need this winter!
