It’s your chance to chat to Linda Eunson Luckett from the charity VASA – no appointment required! We asked Linda to tell us about the kind of help she’s been offering recently and were amazed at the breadth of her reply:
“I have provided copies of the bus timetable and assisted in filling in forms. I have given information about carers within your community. I’ve helped people access the NHS App, and shared printed information on the change-over from landline to all digital – which is worrying to many. I have a helpful glossary to internet language and guides in relation to emails and accessing the internet. I can apply online for people’s membership to the library and have information on to how to get IT help from the library and their free loan tablet service. Also I have a fast-track ticket service for people to contact the Citizens Advice Bureau for benefits, housing, debt etc. The system allows me to send messages to the CAB and ask one of their experts to get in touch with them.” The next Coffee & Connect will take place in a corner of Ilmington Community Café at 2pm on Friday 25th October. And if you’re talking to Linda, the coffee’s on us!
