Getting ready for wall-to-wall Wimbledon are these energetic members of Ilmington Tennis Club: left to right, Teresa, Liz, Kate, Sarah and Jackie. “We come here for a high-level coaching session after we’ve played tennis every Friday morning,” says Jackie. “Andy’s our coach. He’s trying to get us to Wimbledon qualifying level.” In the absence of Andy, these wild cards have ordered chocolate brownie and are agreeing just how thrilling a day at Wimbledon can be. “I’ve never been before!” says Teresa, who’s got a ticket this year.
