Sue Clasper (left) has been a member since the beginning of our journey in 2015. “The spirit of the thing was really inspiring,” says Sue. “The shop is a feel-good contribution to village life. We come along to the AGM and participate in discussions.” Our AGM is on Thursday 14th March at 7pm and as we now have more than 450 members, we need lots of you to come along and vote in Ilmington Village Hall! If you’re not yet a member, as little as £10 buys you a share, a vote on important issues and a say in our future. And you don’t have to live in Ilmington to belong. “We became members soon after we moved here,” says Jackie Prosser (right) “along with my mum who lived in Yorkshire at the time, but wanted to help keep a shop going in the village. She loved coming to Ilmington and saying ‘this is my shop!’” It IS your shop – it belongs to all of us – and we’d love more people to join us.
