…“I get asked all sorts of questions now!” Linda is Community Connector for the local charity VASA, and she hopes to become part of the furniture in Ilmington Community Café, too. After a few pilot sessions, the last Friday of the month will be Linda’s regular slot, 2 to 4pm, for anyone who needs support with life’s problems, big or small. Maybe you are a carer and need practical support? Or you are recently bereaved and would appreciate some counselling? Perhaps you’re stuck at home and want to find a friendly group, or you need a lift to a medical appointment? From disability aids to applying for grants, Linda knows a “man who can” and her job is to point you in the right direction. She even brings along a mobile printer so you can print up a form or take away the information you need. So if you’re fed up of talking to the walls, come and chat to Linda instead. She’s part of the café furniture now!
Coffee and Connect is on Friday, 28th June, 2-4pm in Ilmington Community Café and the last Friday of every month. Anyone coming to chat to Linda gets a free tea or coffee.
