So we went on a Fairtrade hunt, starting with coffee, chocolate and sugar, to see which brands have Fairtrade certification. We were delighted to find dozens of examples, including all Cadbury’s chocolate bars and bags, and many other familiar names – Terry’s, Mars, Lindor, Maynard, Whitaker and Haribo for instance. Look out for Clipper teas and coffees, Divine, Green & Black’s and Ombar chocolate, Pearls Sour Cherries, Philadelphia cream cheese, all our sugar brands and Proper Nutty Peanut Butter. Even the Running Duck Shiraz red wine is a Fairtrade product! Fairtrade is a global movement that protects the rights and safety of more than 1.66 million farmers and workers. It ensures a fairer system of pay and is a way for the consumer to make a stand for farmers. Fairtrade supports small-scale farmers too, ensuring the viability of remote and marginalised communities.
