This week we are challenging our manager Michele to source those hard-to-find items, but like any good corner shop, we have a wide range of goods already on the shelves. Drawing pins and Hoisin sauce; tennis balls and bamboo socks; frozen scallops and hand-made earrings, to name a few. “We had an American lady and her husband in just before Christmas,” says Michele. “They had searched everywhere for pigs in blankets and black treacle and thought they’d try the village shop as a last resort. Of course we had them.
