In a change of pace, this month’s choice is a collection of short stories by the New Zealand writer Katherine Mansfield. Mansfield, who moved to England in 1907 and associated with the Bloomsbury Group, wrote about modern topics like anxiety, sexuality and religion. The Doll’s House explores themes of class and rigid social structures, especially the constraints on 20th century women. We look forward to a great discussion on Tuesday 2nd December at 2pm. Everyone is welcome, even if you haven’t read the book!
