Tina and nine year-old Darcey, who moved into Ilmington a month ago. Darcey’s a bit young for volunteering yet, but shadowing mum is a great way to make the most of the half term holiday. Was she named after Darcey Bussell? “Well I wanted her to do ballet,” admits Tina, “but it’s horses all the way.” Darcey didn’t take to the ballet classes. “I’ve got a pony called Joey!” she says proudly. They have fallen for Ilmington already. “It’s such a lovely village and it’s really worth supporting the shop and café”, says Tina. “Volunteering is an easy way to get to know people in the village. We really love it.” And we love welcoming new volunteers on board. For more information on joining the team, call us on 01608 682838
