Leigh the travelling fishman drives all the way from Grimsby Dock on a Monday morning and it’s first stop Upper Green, Ilmington. In an effort to bypass local roadworks, Leigh now comes to us first thing. “It’s made my journey a lot easier,” he says. “I will be here this summer from 9.45 to 11.15 am, serving fabulously fresh fish and seafood.” So even if you’re not lazing on a beach, you can enjoy the fruits of the sea all summer long – and why not drop into the Community Shop for some new potatoes, local veg and mayonnaise to make the perfect fish supper?
