The tale of Tom, an 8-year-old cat who lives near Ilmington Community Shop:
Lara has a little cat, his name is Ginger Tom
And everywhere that Lara’s at, he faithfully will come.
He followed her to t’shop one day, it was against the rules
To see a moggy flout the one-way system in the aisles!
He didn’t sanitise his paws, or mask his whiskered face
But kept his social distance in a nod to “Hands, Face, Space.”
Whiskas, Felix, Sheba… Tom’s a cat who likes to browse.
The volunteers they love him so:
Till Lara’s says it’s time to go
And takes her shopping, Tom in tow,
“See you next time,” he miaows.
