You’ve been peeling and preserving, chopping and conserving and the day is nearly here… next Friday 12th February is the deadline for the Great Ilmington Marmalade Challenge at Ilmington Community Shop! Many of you have already delivered your homemade Seville orange marmalade, like little rays of sunshine, into the shop, and we’ve been looking after them carefully. Your precious preserves will be forwarded to judge Wendy Larner, who also judges for the Horticulture Society and knows just how a good a jar of marmalade should be. If you still fancy the chance to win a fabulous 35cl bottle of Spirit of Ilmington fruit gin, bring your homemade marmalade in soon. Rules and entry forms are on the display table and the winner will be announced on 19th February. Good luck!
