We have a real community, neighbours who care for one another, a strong church, two great pubs, an active village hall and a host of groups and societies which support and look out for each other. At Ilmington Community Shop, we are marking National Thank You Day with our very own Thank You Tree: the Millennium Oak on Upper Green is festooned with leafy twine ready for your labels of love and gratitude. It’s a chance to say thank you to anyone who has made your life easier during the pandemic. Please come to the shop today to get your labels and share the love. Like the gorgeous Ethan, aged three, who tied up a message for his grandparents (Mamar and Dadad) Sue and Dave Wilkins. Here he is, getting a little help from his parents Robyn and Rob. And thank you to all of those who supported – and continue to support – our community shop in these difficult times
