
“They look great, much better than the old-style panels,” said Susan. “It gets the word out to others to replicate what you are doing.” Volunteer Fiona Dakin has been steering our solar project and, on advice from MP Manuela Perteghella, applied for a £6,000 grant from Stratford’s Community Climate Change and Nature Recovery Fund. She said the project was top of the wish list for members at a recent AGM. The fund was originally Cllr Juned’s idea, “so people could see projects at a local level and ask questions and say ‘did it do you any good?’” We are planning to hold open meetings later in the year to demonstrate how the panels are doing and offer inspiration. “It is a lovely shop and café it really is,” said Susan. “It is exemplary.
