…and our lovely volunteer Colette Nock is here to show off some of the gifts and cards we’ve got on offer. Colette is herself a mother of three who are – impossibly – aged 29 to 36! She’s been volunteering in the community shop and café, mostly the café, for nearly a year now. “I always said I’d volunteer when I started to retire,” says Colette, a nurse who lives in the nearby village of Blackwell. “I love volunteering in the café. I like to help in the community and meet new people.” If you’ve got a Mother to celebrate, come to us for fresh flowers and speciality chocolates, Wrendale animal-design presents and Clare Sharratt’s Harris Tweed handmade homewares. Even if you’re not shopping for Mother’s Day, why not self-gift, with a Spirit of Ilmington fruit vodka or apple brandy? We all need a little “mothering” sometimes
