Our car park has a newly-paved surface, suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs, as well as cars and delivery vehicles. We’ve been wanting to improve the access around the Shop and Café for some time and the new paving has met with widespread approval. “It’s fantastic!” says regular customer and volunteer cake-baker Liz Bott. Liz and her husband Maurice love to visit the Community Café, but it was impossible to wheel him over the original gravel surface we’d had since the café was opened. “We came yesterday with friends and Maurice wanted to come back today! It’s fab.” Liz is going to build up her core strength with all that pushing, but unfortunately we are halfway up a hill, and we don’t have any plans to change that…
