Thanks to our crack squad of Christmas decorators (try saying that after a double Baileys,) Ilmington Community Shop is awash with baubles and sparkles, garlands and stars. See Sarah and Ros pictured with their handiwork, and thanks to Wendy, too. The jolly mood goes up a notch on Saturday, with tastings of Christmas cake and pudding and a sale of handmade candles. Then from 3 to 6pm we are hosting our lovely Lights in the Dark event: there’ll be mince pies, mulled wine and Christmas carols on the village terrace. At 4.30pm, Father Christmas turns on the tree lights and children receive a small sweet treat. Come and help us light up the dark and experience a real community Christmas!
