…and we are excited to be staging it again on Saturday afternoon. Last year, with Covid raging, the village decided to bring some light into the darkness in a lockdown kind of way. We illuminated our homes and gardens with fairy lights, we lit candles in our windows and we turned on the Christmas tree sparkles on the café terrace. It was a chance to stroll around our beautiful Cotswold village and think about the real meaning of Christmas before the mayhem of Christmas Day. All aided, of course, by a cup of takeaway mulled wine from our café. Come and enjoy the Christmas spirit in socially-distanced safety in Ilmington this Saturday. The bells of St Mary’s will ring at 3.15pm and the tree lights will shine at 4.30pm. There’ll be mulled wine and magic in the air
