Given the hardship that many people are experiencing, the war in Ukraine, the long, dark nights of winter, this “lights in the darkness” message is one we can all understand. It was also the theme of the Advent service in St Mary’s Church last Sunday and will be reflected this Saturday afternoon when we come together for carols and community. Mince pies and mulled wine will be served in the Café from 3pm to 6pm and Santa himself is expected to switch on the Christmas tree lights at 4.30pm! Any children “helpers” will be rewarded with some sweet treats. We hope you will join us for an evening of midwinter celebration and communal cheer!
