Lockdown life and how we can help … at Ilmington Community Shop
Whether you are looking for a safer place to shop, or would like to place personalised orders for collection and home delivery, Ilmington Community Shop is here for you during lockdown. We are an essential rural amenity and will be staying open all the usual hours, staffed by our friendly team of volunteers.
We have tried our best to take the panic out of pandemic. We sell masks and provide hand sanitizer; we’ve got a nifty one-way system down the aisles; we only allow two customers into the shop at a time; we are able to expand into our café space when the Post Office is visiting (or when it’s too wet to queue outside.)
Home deliveries are also available to residents of Ilmington, Blackwell and Darlingscott. Our voluntary delivery drivers follow pandemic safety precautions when dropping groceries, fresh foods, newspapers and anything else you need at your door.
And if you’re feeling vulnerable and would like to explore the idea of personal shopping, call manager Michele Hall on the number below and we’ll see what we can do.
Inside the light and airy shop, you’ll find friendly faces and a warm welcome. Christmas 2020 is still coming and we’ve got a series of special gifts, chocolates and cards to tempt you in the coming weeks. We will of course be doing our utmost to supply all the basics to keep you going and to ensure our shelves stocked with essentials. If there’s anything you can’t see, please ask: the more you use the shop, the wider the range we can buy in.
For next-day home delivery, please place your order by 3pm Mondays and Thursdays. Email orders@ilmingtonshop.co.uk or call 682838. We are here for you.
