… out for a stroll in the Ilmington hills and back to our shop for a Classic Magnum ice cream. Never mind it’s only six degrees in the sunshine. “We’ve been walking all the hills, up down and around,” says Geoff with a G. “It’s lovely, your village is, for walking. You can get onto the top and look at the views. And when you get back, you fancy an ice cream.” Geoff is from Norton Lindsay and Jeff hails from Stratford. They are recent retirees from the same workplace and they meet every so often for a spot of exercise. “We come to the shop quite often,” says Jeff with a J. “We were just saying how long is it since we were sat here doing this. September probably.” They hold onto their Magnum sticks while setting the world to rights. Two Classics for two classic gentlemen: in England it’s never too early for ice cream (picture: Jeff on the left and Geoff on the right)
