Bruce the gorgeous Great Dane is three years old, and comes to see us after a walk with his owner Jo. “That’s enough for Bruce, he’ll be tired for the rest of the day,” says Jo. (Bruce eats two large bowls of kibble twice a day and has a thing for sardines. Jo and friend Sam have stopped for coffee.) Meanwhile Honey, four, and Cookie, 11, are two beautifully bred working cockers who catch the eye of everyone passing. “We come here a lot,” says owner Topsy. “I’m in a running group called RIOT: Running Is Our Therapy.” We enjoy meeting our doggy customers on the terrace and if you want to share your snaps for the Creatures of Ilmington Calendar, we just ask that they are taken in a village context.
