Meet Colette. Her volunteering journey began on her daily commute home from Chipping Campden surgery. She would pop in for essentials and promised herself she’d join the team when she retired. Two years on, she’s never looked back!
Colette started working in the Café but then broadened her skills with some shifts in the shop. She loves the familiar faces, new faces, the team spirit and keeping her brain ticking over.
She particularly loves the moments of connection with visitors who share her memories of the building in its former life as a church such as attending Mass and having their children christened there.
Every shift is different and she’s still learning which is exactly how she likes it.
