Donna points out shelves laden with unexpected goodies. “It’s the best grocery store. You can find everything you need!” Donna lives in Ilmington and is one of our valued volunteer cake bakers. “I make mostly carrot cake,” she says. Donna and Jenny met years ago in Scotland, now Jenny lives in Thailand, a long way to come. She takes a picture of Spirit of Ilmington gin and admires the Vale of Evesham fruit. “What I love is you stock everything local, from family businesses and small suppliers,” says Jenny. “Local food always tastes much better.” At the Community Shop, we do try to support local producers.
