Firstly look at these two brilliant volunteers: Sheila Lowe on the left organises our cake rota, ensuring we have the best homemade bakes this side of the Cotswolds. On the right is Mandy Plant, cafe volunteer and cake baker, who has taught herself some amazing “free-from” recipes, including a carrot cake that’s to die for. Here they are showing you their idea of “cake in a box” to take to a friend’s house or give as a gift. Our business is all about these smiles and spontaneous creative moments! We run our cafe for the community and with the community – people doing what they love, in a team, with as little stress and as much joy as possible.
