The very un-English warmth of Saturday afternoon – declared the hottest day of the summer – created a lovely but languorous backdrop for our BBQ at Ilmington Shop and Cafe. Heat descended like a duvet at midday and even the mad dogs stayed at home. So thank you to everyone who braved the sultry weather to celebrate with friends and neighbours on Upper Green.
