The plucky trio kindly put up Ilmington’s Christmas tree on the Community Shop terrace. “Steve Prosser is the chainsaw wielding maestro and Brian Meredith brings the axe skills,” says helper Alan Sarjant. “Me, I’m the main sweeper-upper.” Lights were arranged, the gold star perched on top and our three volunteers rewarded with hot drinks. Join us at dusk on Saturday for our Lights in the Dark event to mark the beginning of Advent with a glass of mulled wine and a spot of carol singing. And of course, the lighting of the tree!
