We invited the children to sketch scenes around our beautiful Cotswold village, to match images from our team of amateur photographers. Each month has a recognisable view of Ilmington, from St Mary’s Church to the Old School House, The Howard Arms to The Red Lion. Younger children created their own church mice, smiling sheep and fairies from Ilmington’s own fairy grotto. The result is A Child’s Eye View of Ilmington, a blend of art and photography, with every child’s submission included at the end of the calendar. Congratulations go to Molly aged nine, for winning a place on the front cover. Her delightful picture of the community shop is complete with volunteer serving at the counter! In fact, a big thank you to all the children who took part. Proceeds from sales of the calendar go the the school’s PTA and the calendar is on sale now for £8
