…and here are two of them: Jordan Blencowe and his wife La Toya Fe from Banbury. “We were delighted to host Blencowes cakes at our Christmas Fair last year,” says shop manager Michele Hall. “Their loaves, cakes and cupcakes are really, really tasty and make a great everyday treat.” Blencowe’s is a lovely lockdown story: a bakery that started in the couple’s Banbury kitchen and that, within six months, had expanded into their parents’ garage! Now installed in a proper premises in Warwick, Jordan and La Toya are supplying the community shop with a wide range of teatime favourites: coffee and walnut, fairy cakes, banana cake and a spiced fruit cake to name a few.
