Ann Sabin last visited our café in November and we heard that she passed away on Thursday 20th January. Ann and her husband Michael were married in the Catholic Church that is now the home of our community shop. Around the time of their visit, they were celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary and sharing memories about the day they met in Ilmington. Meanwhile, many villagers are also mourning the death of Angus Chambers on the same Thursday. Angus was a great supporter of our cooperative and he shopped with us regularly. He was a church warden, a keen gardener and a familiar face who will be very much missed. We’d like to send our love to the families of Ann Sabin and Angus Chambers at this difficult time
