In May we enjoyed a meet-the-author session with author Richard Vaughan Davies. And in June we had a surprise visit by James Lloyd, grandson of Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain, for our discussion about Robert Harris’s novel, Munich. This month… well, we can’t promise you’ll rub shoulders with One Show presenter Matt Baker, but we will be transported to the Durham Dales as we chat about his book A Year On Our Farm. Matt helps out on his parents’ farm, and this is where he loves to retreat and experience the changing seasons. Escape with us to a world of miniature ponies, beloved dogs and gorgeous scenery, all illustrated with hand-drawn sketches by Matt himself. Everyone is welcome at our friendly book group, even if you haven’t read the book.
