We meet on the first Tuesday of every month at 2pm over tea and cake. You can read along with us or just come for the company and a good chat. We love to hear your ideas for future reading and we pick all suggestions out of the hat. This month’s choice is Late City by Pulitzer prize-winning author Robert Olen Butler. It’s a review of a man’s life through the 20th century, an imaginary encounter between newspaperman Sam Cunningham and God. Personal and historical, poignant and powerful, it’s going to make an interesting discussion when we meet on 1st July. And if you haven’t had time to read it, you’re welcome anyway!
